Gregory Sholette, Tamna materija
Prezentaciju knjige i predavanje sa diskusijom

Četvrtak, 16. Jun u 18:00

U svom dosadašnjem radu, Gregory Sholette se neposredno bavio analizom savremenog sistema umetnosti, kolektivnim umetničkim praksama i umetničkim aktivizmom, naročito u američkom društveno-političkom kontekstu.

Gregory Sholette će lokalnoj publici predstaviti svoju najnoviju knjigu Tamna materija u pratnji predavanja pod nazivom  Od radikalne solidarnosti do “pošto-poto” kolektivizma: politička umetnost i uspon “kriznog kapitalizma.

Moderatorka programa biće Jelena Vesić – istoričarka umetnosti, nezavisna kustoskinja i umetnička kritičarka.

STANOVNICI SLIKA /predavanje-performans/
Rabih Mroué

Sreda, information pills 11. maj u 20.30

Jugoslovensko dramsko pozorište, scena „Studio“, Kralja Milana 50

IRWIN I NEUE SLOWENICSHE KUNST: Dušan Mandić i Borut Vogelnik
„SEDAM KNJIGA O RETRO-PRINCIPU“

Umetnička praksa kolektiva Irwin u proteklih dvadeset godina, podrazumeva i teorijsku autorefleksiju.

(Srpski) Predavanje-performans :: STANOVNICI SLIKA, Rabih Mroué :: 11.05.2011, Beograd

Rabih Mroué

Sreda, sildenafil 11. maj u 20.30

Jugoslovensko dramsko pozorište, pregnancy scena „Studio“, Kralja Milana 50

Venue: Cultural Center CK, Skopje

Presenting the project Ballettikka Internettikka (2001-2011) by Igor Štromajer & Brane Zorman.

In collaboration with Kontrapunkt, Skopje; deschooling.classroom(o^o) and TkH – Centre for Performing Arts Theory and Practice, Belgrade.

We shall fight them on the beaches. We shall fight them on the landing grounds. We shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills. We shall never surrender.”
(W. Churchill)

Ballettikka Internettikka is a series of tactical art projects which began in 2001 with the exploration of Internet ballet. It explores wireless Internet ballet performances combined with guerrilla tactics and mobile live Internet broadcasting strategies.

Ballettikka Internettikka uses impossible connections to develop the possible strategies of resistance and disobedience. The project participates in the already existing protocols of communication, yet without being servile to these protocols, it opens up links between emotionality and technology, production and ethics, desire and organization, imagination and institution. The distribution of politics and intimacy without any reason and purpose, with the use of limited, defined and controlled protocols is a dystopia and an unsubmissive revolt to the world of capital, which can be disarmed only by the use of its own tactics.

within the project Deschooling Classroom (O^O), presents the seminar and public lecture by Aldo Milohnić, sociologist and theorist of theatre and culture from Ljubljana. He has been invited to take part in the project of collective self-education in arts and culture Deschooling classroom (O^O), by working group Art and/as politics, which deals with research of relations between art and politics, as well as of repoliticization of the discourses of humanities. The public lecture with discussion in the Cultural centre Magacin is the final session of two-day seminar, that Aldo Milohnić will conceive for that group.

PUBLIC DOMAIN AND ITS PERFORMANCES

There is a long history of struggles for preserving public spaces from investment’s expansionism of corporate capital. What is relatively new, however, is the neoliberal strategy to bypass the public control over the public good by using so called “public-private partnership” model. Although this phrase is an oxymoron in its own right, it is used by politicians, managers and PR-departments to veil the real threat of this kind of business for public interests.

In introduction of his lecture, Aldo Milohnić will discuss penetration of private capital into public urban space in general and commercialization of art and culture in particular. Second part of his lecture will be devoted to several examples of artistic actions and performances in urban public spaces questioning the status of public domain and public interest in relation to “branding” in economy, politics, and art system.

The lecture is in English language, without translation.

ALDO MILOHNIĆ, MA in sociology of culture, is a researcher at the Peace Institute Ljubljana – Institute for Contemporary Social and Political Studies where he works on research projects in the fields of sociology of culture and cultural policy. He is editor of the Politike book series, author of several books (most recently Theories of Contemporary Theatre and Performance, 2009) and editor of numerous special issues of cultural journals. His texts are published in journals Maska, Frakcija, TkH, Amfiteater and Performance Research as well as in catalogues and anthologies. He has participated as a lecturer in numerous international conferences on social and cultural theories, performing arts theory and cultural politics as well as in the Contemporary Performing Arts Seminar (permanent seminar organized by Maska, Ljubljana). Fields of interest: sociology of culture, cultural policy, performing arts theory, epistemology of social sciences and the humanities.

Teorija koja Hoda i 51. Oktobarski salon

Vas pozivaju na predstavljanje projekta

RAŠKOLOVANA VIDEO UČIONICA

U subotu 20. novembra u 19.00 dođite na predstavljanje i razgovor o projektu Raškolovana video učionica, generic
u prostoru ovogodišnjeg Oktobarskog salona u Resavskoj 40b/I sprat.

Rosa Barba, vizuelna umetnica
Tim Etchells, pozorišni i vizuelni umetnik, umetnički direktor grupe Forced Entertainment
Julieta Aranda, vizuelna umetnica i osnivačica internacionalne platforme e-flux
Jelena Vesićfreelance kustoskinja, urednica časopisa Prelom
Mia David, v.d. direktorka KCB-a, urednica magazina Kvart

Julieta Aranda, vizuelna umetnica i osnivačica internacionalne platforme e-flux
Jelena Vesić, freelance kustoskinja, urednica časopisa Prelom

STANOVNICI SLIKA /predavanje-performans/
Rabih Mroué

Sreda, information pills 11. maj u 20.30

Jugoslovensko dramsko pozorište, scena „Studio“, Kralja Milana 50

IRWIN I NEUE SLOWENICSHE KUNST: Dušan Mandić i Borut Vogelnik
„SEDAM KNJIGA O RETRO-PRINCIPU“

Umetnička praksa kolektiva Irwin u proteklih dvadeset godina, podrazumeva i teorijsku autorefleksiju.

Fields of interest: sociology of culture, cultural policy, performing arts theory, epistemology of social sciences and the humanities.

u prostoru ovogodišnjeg Oktobarskog salona u Resavskoj 40b/I sprat.

STANOVNICI SLIKA /predavanje-performans/
Rabih Mroué

Sreda, information pills 11. maj u 20.30

Jugoslovensko dramsko pozorište, scena „Studio“, Kralja Milana 50

IRWIN I NEUE SLOWENICSHE KUNST: Dušan Mandić i Borut Vogelnik
„SEDAM KNJIGA O RETRO-PRINCIPU“

Umetnička praksa kolektiva Irwin u proteklih dvadeset godina, podrazumeva i teorijsku autorefleksiju.

Authors: Igor Štromajer and Brane Zorman

Rosa Barba, vizuelna umetnica
Tim Etchells, pozorišni i vizuelni umetnik, umetnički direktor grupe Forced Entertainment
Julieta Aranda, vizuelna umetnica i osnivačica internacionalne platforme e-flux
Jelena Vesić, freelance kustoskinja, urednica časopisa Prelom
Mia David, v.d. direktorka KCB-a, urednica magazina Kvart

Skopje, within the project Deschooling Classroom (O^O), presents the seminar and public lecture by Aldo Milohnić, sociologist and theorist of theatre and culture from Ljubljana.

Vas pozivaju na predstavljanje projekta

RAŠKOLOVANA VIDEO UČIONICA

U subotu 20. novembra u 19.00 dođite na predstavljanje i razgovor o projektu Raškolovana video učionica, pilule
u prostoru ovogodišnjeg Oktobarskog salona u Resavskoj 40b/I sprat.

Rosa Barba, vizuelna umetnica
Tim Etchells, pozorišni i vizuelni umetnik, umetnički direktor grupe Forced Entertainment
Julieta Aranda, vizuelna umetnica i osnivačica internacionalne platforme e-flux

STANOVNICI SLIKA /predavanje-performans/
Rabih Mroué

Sreda, information pills 11. maj u 20.30

Jugoslovensko dramsko pozorište, scena „Studio“, Kralja Milana 50

IRWIN I NEUE SLOWENICSHE KUNST: Dušan Mandić i Borut Vogelnik
„SEDAM KNJIGA O RETRO-PRINCIPU“

Umetnička praksa kolektiva Irwin u proteklih dvadeset godina, podrazumeva i teorijsku autorefleksiju.

Rosa Barba, vizuelna umetnica
Tim Etchells, pozorišni i vizuelni umetnik, umetnički direktor grupe Forced Entertainment
Julieta Aranda, vizuelna umetnica i osnivačica internacionalne platforme e-flux
Jelena Vesić, freelance kustoskinja, urednica časopisa Prelom
Mia David, v.d. direktorka KCB-a, urednica magazina Kvart

Rabih Mroué

Sreda, information pills 11. maj u 20.30

Jugoslovensko dramsko pozorište, scena „Studio“, Kralja Milana 50

IRWIN I NEUE SLOWENICSHE KUNST: Dušan Mandić i Borut Vogelnik
„SEDAM KNJIGA O RETRO-PRINCIPU“

Umetnička praksa kolektiva Irwin u proteklih dvadeset godina, podrazumeva i teorijsku autorefleksiju.

Vladimir Palibrk, urednik i art-menadžer galerije Elektrika, Pančevo

The workshop „Calendar of Lies“ is conceived as a practical art-activist work on verbalization and visualization of deceptions and illusions, on personal as well as on social levels. The workshop addresses the working group Art and Activism, but is open to members of all groups.

Škart is an experimental studio for artistic, graphic and social research founded in 1990 by Dragan Protić and Đorđe Balmazović in an abandoned graphic studio at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade, where both of them gained formal education. Combining various experiences in poetry, graphic design, architecture, performance and social engagement, Škart developed a local strategy of street samizdat / samodat actions. They exhibited in Belgrade, Brussels, Berlin, Graz, Paris, New York, Vienna… and received many awards for their work. Some of their socially engaged projects include „Your Shit – Your Responsibity“,„Survival Coupons“, „Kuvarice“, the choir and orchestra Horkeškart and „Pesničenje“ – monthly poetry festival, which in less than two years became the most popular literary event in Belgrade. With their project „Klackalište“  they represent Serbia at the forthcoming Venice Biennale.

Dragan Protić, multimedia artists born in 1965, sums up his biography as follows: „Nobody. Member of Škart, a poet maybe.“

POLITICALITY OF ART: STRATEGIES AND TACTICS, POLITICS AND POLICE

Ana Vujanović

The lecture comprises an analysis of politicality of contemporary art in the context of neo-liberal capitalism. Basic theoretical references are the notions of politics/police by Jacques Ranciere and strategies/tactics by Michel de Certeau, the basic issue being the cannibalistic nature of the neo-liberal order. Concrete art examples will be observed in a subsequent discussion from the perspective of the proposed theoretical platform. The lecture is open for all DSC students.

Ana Vujanović (Belgrade, 1975) is a theorist of performing arts and culture, and an accomplished cultural worker. She holds a PhD in humanities in the field of theatre studies. Ana is a member of the editorial collective and program director of TkH (Walking Theory), and lecturer at the University of Arts in Belgrade, active in the local, regional and European contexts as a freelance theorist, writer, lecturer, editor, organizer of various cultural-artistic programs and dramaturge for contemporary performance, dance and post-dramatic theatre.

ALPHABETARIUM

lead by: Jasna Koteska

Alphabetarium is the name of the workshop that re-discuses twelve previously chosen phenomena: abject, avant-garde (Soviet, Yugoslav), animalism, city, infantilism, informe, miniaturization, sanitation, senses, terrorism, torture, fascism/holocaust.

ABC system is here to constitute a territory, where instead of a disciplinary sanitation (physics, literature, theology), we will think of notions (butterfly, number, toilet); instead of an effort of culture and the reserve knowledge, we will re-gain an opportunity to imagine, think, meet. When a notion is locked into the art work, it only takes a little to displace it into the politics, and it opens up other perspectives. Thinking with crutches: we have a de-sanitarization of art, but what if we transpose the de-sanitarization into politics? Miniaturization of art, and what will politics look like, if it is miniaturized? Avant-garde in art, what about the avant-garde in politics? Informe in art, what about the formless politics? Etc.

To quote Agamben: “With Descartes and the birth of modern science, the function of phantasy is assumed by the new subject of knowledge: the ego cogito (while, observe that in the technical vocabulary of medieval philosophy, cogitare referred rather to the discourse of the imagination than to the act of intelligence… While scientific experiment is indeed the construction of a sure road (of a method, a path) to knowledge, the quest, instead, is the recognition that the absence of a road (the aporia) is the only experience possible for man.” (and, woman). We will try that second road.

Jasna Koteska (Skopje, 1970) is an Associate Professor of literature, gender studies and theoretical psychoanalysis at the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje. She holds MPhil in literature (Skopje, 1999), MA in gender studies (Budapest, 2000), and a PhD in women’s literature (Skopje, 2002).

She works in the fields of theoretical psychoanalysis (Freud, Lacan, Kristeva, Klein, Žižek), literary theory and gender studies, and with the variety of topics: intimacy, sanitation, trauma, etc. Her texts have been translated into English, Slovenian, Serbian, German, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Slovakian, Turkish, etc. She has served as an editor in several magazines: Identities, Shine, Literary Word, and others.

She has published the following books: Postmodern Literary Studies (2002), Macedonian Women’s Writings (2003) – first history of Macedonian female literature, Sanitary Enigma (2006) and Communist Intimacy (2008). Her book Intimist has been translated into Slovenian (2008).
